Deposits and the final school account
Under the parent contracts effective from April 2026, deposits are distinct from tuition. Unless donated, they are normally credited without interest to the final account, with any eligible balance returned after settlement. Where no preference has already been indicated, the school asks for written confirmation about returning or donating the remaining balance; it transfers the balance to the School Foundation if no such confirmation is received within three months of leaving. A refund also requires written bank-account instructions and reconciliation; a dispute can delay settlement. Pre-entry cancellation has separate cooling-off and notice rules.

Senior School notice and cancellation costs
The Senior School contract effective from April 2026 ordinarily requires a term’s written notice to withdraw, or a term’s fees in lieu, subject to the normal end of Upper Sixth and the contract’s other stated exceptions. For the usual termly withdrawal, notice must be given on or before the first day of the preceding term and signed by each holder of parental responsibility. Optional charged services normally require half a term’s notice or half a term’s specified charge for that service. Leaving part-way through a term does not normally reduce the fee. Separate pre-entry cancellation rules include a 14-day written cancellation window after signing the acceptance form.
