Joining the school

The current school FAQ says primary and secondary applicants are interviewed. From Year 7, English proficiency may be assessed by test or interview. Placement depends on the child’s stage and application review; confirm current capacity, documents and any other requirements directly with admissions.

English instruction and language support

The school says English is its language of instruction. In Lower School it offers English as an Additional Language and Portuguese as a Second Language support. Portuguese immersion and Spanish lessons should not be read as separate teaching languages across the curriculum.

An international adaptation of the English curriculum

CLIB, the Braga International School, is private, coeducational and non-denominational. Established in 1999, it serves ages 3 to 18. The school adapts the English National Curriculum in its lower and early upper-school stages for an international community in Braga.

School fees for 2026/27

The school publishes ten monthly instalments: EUR 670 for Pre-prep/Prep, EUR 630 for Reception to Form 4, EUR 710 for Forms 5–6, EUR 795 for Forms 7–9, EUR 890 for Form 10 and EUR 945 for Forms 11–12. The corresponding annual tuition ranges from EUR 6,300 to EUR 9,450 by stage. Ask for an itemised quote for the child’s year and any additional charges.
