Joining the school
Dollar Academy asks families to enquire and visit before registering. Its current admissions page lists a £90 registration fee and an entrance assessment, usually held in January but possible at other times. Prep, Junior and Form I applicants are assessed at school, while Form II and older applicants are invited to an interview; boarding applications begin from age ten. Confirm the appropriate stage, available place and timetable with admissions.

Language and learning support
In Prep and Junior (Years 1–7), learning support is mainly provided through group work. Senior pupils (Years 8–13) have individual support plans reviewed each term. Support ranges from classroom adjustments to sessions with the Support for Learning team, typically once or twice a week, with provision considered individually. The school confirmed that Support for Learning and EAL do not carry an additional charge.

Boarding weekends and school holidays
The school confirmed on 17 October 2026 that it has no exeat weekends, but boarding houses close during school holidays. Its usual pattern includes two weeks in October, three over Christmas and New Year, one in February and around two and a half at Easter. There is no May midterm break; the school year finishes at the end of June. Families should use the current school calendar to plan exact travel dates and accommodation during closures.

Meals, extras and withdrawal notice
The current booklet describes separate ParentPay accounts for lunches, trips and activities; lunch credit must be topped up before buying food. Additional co-curricular costs and spending incurred by boarders are charged separately. A full term’s written notice of withdrawal is required; where the contractual notice is missing, one term’s fees in lieu are charged. An unexpected withdrawal before the end of a term does not generate a fee refund for that term. No complete family-specific budget is implied by the tuition table.

Sibling and qualifying-family remissions
The 2026/27 booklet gives a 25% tuition remission for the third and subsequent children attending concurrently where the family first applied after 23 November 2016; the tuition element alone is reduced for boarders. If siblings enter out of age order, the remission applies to the youngest children. It also describes a 20% tuition remission for qualifying full-time HM Forces day-pupil families and a 20% boarding-element remission for qualifying Foreign & Commonwealth Office or British Council families. Only one form of remission may apply at a time; these conditions do not make a universal discounted fee.

Paying the annual fee
The 2026/27 payment booklet confirms that the published tuition and boarding fees cover the whole academic year and include VAT. Families may pay for the full academic year, pay in full for each term, or use UK-bank-account direct debit with three instalments per term. The published bank-transfer deadlines are 20 August 2026 for autumn or the full session, 6 January 2027 for spring and 13 April 2027 for summer. The direct-debit collection dates are 9 September, 9 October and 9 November 2026; 13 January, 9 February and 9 March 2027; and 9 April, 10 May and 9 June 2027. Each direct debit is one third of the termly tuition/boarding fee. These are alternative payment arrangements, not extra tuition.
