Entry routes and assessments
Main entry points include Nursery, Reception, Years 3 and 5 in Prep, and Years 7, 9 and 12 in the Senior School. The school uses entrance assessments and interviews for senior applicants; younger assessments vary by age. Overseas boarding advance fee
| Overseas boarder advance fee shown on the fee schedule | £12,500 |
|---|
This is the advance shown in the overseas-boarder column, separate from the deposit. Under the September 2026 terms it normally credits the first term’s invoice; for Sixth Form entrants it credits the final term’s invoice in Year 13. Do not add a credited advance to tuition twice. The offer letter determines the payment date and applicable requirements.

Direct Sixth Form entrants have a separate day rate of £10,261; Reception day rate is £5,117. Nursery fees depend on session pattern. Day tuition includes lunch. Included costs and additional school charges
The published tuition schedule includes ordinary educational materials, day lunches and morning snacks, and accommodation, meals and snacks for boarders. The September 2026 terms separately charge public examinations, Sixth Form textbooks and books that cannot be reused, agreed chargeable activities and, where applicable, additional learning support. EAL support assessed as necessary also attracts a supplement. Ask for the child’s written schedule of compulsory and chosen extras before treating tuition as a complete budget.
Source ↗ · checked
How the deposit and advance are credited
The September 2026 terms normally credit the deposit without interest against the final fee account, unless donated to the bursary fund. An advance normally credits the first term; direct Sixth Form entry instead credits the final Year 13 term. A deposit is normally retained if the pupil never starts. The limited pre-entry exception requires the prescribed notice and the school actually filling the particular vacancy, with administration costs deducted. Check the offer and full terms before paying.

Payment dates and notice commitments
Each term’s fees are due by its first day; the terms permit direct debit or bank transfer. Supplemental charges are invoiced separately for payment by the first day of the next term. Ordinary withdrawal normally needs a full term’s written notice, while leaving after Year 11 needs a term and a half. Reducing boarding normally needs one term’s notice, rising to two terms in Year 13. Late notice can create a further fee liability, and leaving mid-term does not reduce the bill. The detailed definitions and exceptions are in the school’s contract.

Fee assistance and family eligibility
The fees page limits Headington Access bursaries to local day girls in the Senior School, excluding boarding fees and Prep. It also lists a 20% fee discount for pupils whose parent is in full-time UK military or Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office service and posted overseas. Eligibility and any award must be confirmed by the school; no reduction is applied to the displayed standard fees.
