Age, teaching language and IB pathways

ISM describes a school for ages 3–18. Its learning page sets out IB Primary Years for Kindergarten–Year 6, IB Middle Years for Years 7–11, and IB Diploma or Career-related routes in Years 12–13. Early Years and Primary follow an English–French bilingual programme; the admissions FAQ describes Years 7–11 as an international English-language programme. French remains an important language at secondary level, but the bilingual primary model should not be assumed to apply identically to every grade.

2026/27 tuition and first-year charges

The school’s 2026/27 financial conditions publish annual tuition of €29,700 for full-day Kindergarten or Transition–Year 3, €31,900 for Years 4–6, €32,700 for Years 7–9 and €36,100 for Years 10–13. Half-day crèche and Kindergarten carry lower, separate tariffs. New-student one-time, non-refundable charges are €500 application, €2,000 registration and €25,000 Capital Development Fund in addition to tuition. Individual music, some activities and specific learning support are also extra; check the full contract and placement before budgeting.

Half-day options and what tuition includes

The separate 2026/27 annual half-day tariffs are €12,100 for afternoon Crèche and €18,100 for morning Kindergarten. Full-day Kindergarten costs €29,700 and requires Head of School approval. Lunch is included from Transition to Year 11; Year 12–13 lunch is optional and extra. Tuition includes stationery, materials, textbooks, the annual CAM bus card, an iPad for Years 4–8, a MacBook for Years 9–13 and external IB/Pearson BTEC examination registration. The major field trip is included only for Years 3–9. Specific learning support, private music and some activities are separate. Sibling discounts end from 2026/27. PTA fees and each parent’s ISM Association membership fee are also included.

Payment deadlines and securing re-enrolment

The 2026/27 terms require 40% of annual school fees before 11 March 2026 and 60% before 1 June 2026. Families may instead contact Accounts to pay 100% before 11 March. Re-enrolment is reserved after the first payment and secured after the second; the terms do not approve other instalment or delayed-payment plans. They also state a 5% late charge on each overdue instalment from the day after its due date. For a pupil joining during the school year, ask Accounts to confirm the applicable charge before accepting a place.

Withdrawal and commitments for paid services

Cancellation, withdrawal or early departure must be notified in writing to both the Director and Admissions. The 2026/27 terms state that paid tuition is not refunded or transferred to the next academic year, and that registration and Capital Development Fund charges are also non-refundable. Exceptions, such as medical necessity, require a recommendation from the Director and approval by the Treasurer and/or President. Returning after withdrawal requires a fresh application, with no guarantee of a place. Services and activities beyond tuition normally carry a September–June commitment unless stated otherwise; the terms provide no reduction or refund for cancellation or non-use. Check the conditions for any activity before signing up.
