Joining the school

Start with an enquiry, a campus tour and a meeting with the head, in person or online. The application asks for identity documents, two years of reports, vaccination records, confidential teacher references and any specialist assessments. A residence permit is requested for non-EU applicants. The school considers reports, language skills, an interview, class observations where possible and CAT4 results. Acceptance is confirmed in writing with a start date.

Language and learning support

Applicants for Grades 7-9 have an English language assessment to decide their learning pathway. Grades 10-13 require age-appropriate English reading, writing and speaking skills; an entry test may cover listening, speaking, reading and writing. The school states that it can offer only limited support for mild learning difficulties. Families must disclose existing needs, and extra support may be required. A trial placement can have written goals and a review date.

Verified teaching language

The current school page says teaching is in English across its PYP, MYP and Diploma school. Italian is taught to pupils, but the current page does not establish Italian as a whole-school teaching language. A 2023/24 school brochure describes a bilingual strand in Grades 2–11; its current scope requires reconfirmation.

Learning and qualifications

Siena describes a full IB pathway from ages 3 to 18: Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma. Alongside this, pupils follow Italian studies, with the idoneita assessment in Grade 6 and the terza media exam in Grade 9. Diploma students choose subjects across languages, humanities, science, mathematics and arts or another subject. They also complete Theory of Knowledge, a 4,000-word essay and Creativity, Activity, Service.

Annual tuition and separate entry costs

The 2026/27 schedule lists admission €2,100 once at initial enrolment, annual registration €700 for the first two children, late renewal €600, lunches €1,700 and a separate company premium €1,000 where applicable. Tuition includes exercise books and stationery from Kindergarten through Grade 5; personal insurance, medical service and daily school trips from Kindergarten through Grade 11; and external IB examinations for Grades 11–13. Bus service, swimming and ballet are optional extras. Admission, annual registration and 25% of tuition are due on 17 February 2026; 50% of tuition and 50% of lunches on 23 August 2026; and 25% of tuition and the remaining 50% of lunches on 1 December 2026. Published annual totals are used directly; rounded instalment sums are not substituted.
