For 2027 Form 1 day or Irish-resident boarding entry, the school says a pupil should have reached age 12 by the start of Form 1. Applications require the published documents and a €100 application charge; boarding applicants have a visit or video interview. Overseas families use a separate international route, which states its own age and English-proficiency requirements.

International applications are considered for Forms 1, 2, 4 and 5; Forms 3 and 6 are state-examination years and do not admit international entrants. The published entry ages by 1 September are 12, 13, 15 and 16 respectively, with some exceptions considered. International pupils must enrol as seven-day boarders for a full academic year, August to June. Applicants take an online English test and interview. English is assessed again at the start of term; parents are told the required English course and its cost according to level and year group. Families without a suitable relative or close friend in Ireland must engage a professional guardian. The family and guardian return the annual guardianship form by the end of June, and the guardian attends an information session. Direct airport-school transfers use school transport; arrivals or departures between 22:00 and 07:00 require a host-family arrangement through the guardian. Confirm the current requirements with admissions.

Acceptance deposits differ for Irish-resident and overseas families. They are not refundable if an accepted place is not taken up, and notice terms may create an additional term’s liability. The Form 1 domestic registration charge does not apply to overseas applicants. Obtain the correct category’s contract rather than assume identical upfront payments.
