OIS serves children aged 3–18. Its stages are Pre-School (3–5), Primary (5–11), Lower Secondary (11–15) and Upper Secondary (15–18). Primary teaching includes the International Primary Curriculum. The final three years cover Pre-IB followed by the two-year IB Diploma programme.

Parents may apply at any time, but new offers are linked to the existing-pupil re-enrolment process that starts in March. The application fee is NOK 5,000 per pupil and does not guarantee admission. Returning applicants should contact admissions to reopen their file rather than creating a duplicate account.

English entry requirements by year

Primary applicants do not need a minimum English level. Secondary applicants whose first language is not English take an assessment. The FAQ lists A2 for Year 8, B1 for Year 9 and B2 for Year 10. English as an Additional Language support is available to eligible younger pupils, but the school states that it is not offered from Year 10 to IB2. Confirm the right entry level with admissions.

Norwegian is taught to Years 1–10, while French or Spanish may be studied later; those subjects are not additional school-wide teaching languages.
