A selective British school in the Madrid area

Runnymede College is a British international school in Alcobendas, founded in 1967. Its admissions process is selective, with published guidance on entry requirements and assessments. The senior pupil and parent handbook provides another source for understanding the school beyond its introductory pages.

For applicants, the first question is readiness for the intended year group. Review the entry requirements with admissions and discuss how the child’s current studies relate to them. A selective process does not establish whether a school will suit an individual child; use a visit to examine the academic expectations and the support available alongside them.

Application and budget details

Annual bus prices range from €1,100 for one-way local travel to €2,960 for a return route from elsewhere. Check the stop and service category for your address. Although the tuition and bus tables are labelled 2026/27, the examination-fee section still says 2025/26. Ask for updated exam charges instead of treating that older table as current.
