When places are limited, Skagerak gives priority to continuing pupils, staff children, applicants with international or English-language schooling, siblings, then other applicants. Direct outside entry to the second IB Diploma year is normally not accepted except in adverse circumstances. Continuing pupils need at least 20 points in DP1 summer exams, no subject below grade 2 and the required first-year core work. The high-school principal makes the final progression decision.
