Start with an expression of interest, followed by a campus visit and meeting. Applicants from Grade 6 may be asked to take a placement test, including at their existing school. A place depends on availability and the school’s review of the support it can provide.

An IB continuum near Lisbon

St. Dominic’s International School in São Domingos de Rana provides the IB for ages 3 to 18. Its pathway includes the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes, allowing families to examine a continuous IB route rather than only a final-years Diploma option.

Fees and the first-year budget

The published 2026/27 payment dates are 1 July 2026, 1 December 2026 and 1 March 2027. The 5% advance-payment discount required payment before July and has expired for this year's schedule. Tuition includes school materials, field trips and accident insurance, but international trips and Grade 10 and Grade 12 IB examinations are separate. Ask for the grade-specific numeric tariff and the full invoice.
