About Zurich International School — Adliswil Campus

Zurich International School’s Adliswil campus serves Grades 6–12. Older pupils can take an IB Diploma route or combine Advanced Placement and ZIS courses. The younger and bilingual programmes at Wädenswil belong to another campus and are not included in this listing.

Middle and upper-school pathways

Adliswil covers ages 11–18. Grades 9–10 prepare pupils for later course choices. In Grades 11–12, options include IB courses and the Diploma, AP courses and courses developed by ZIS. Families should confirm subject availability and graduation requirements for the intended route.

Support and the school day

The campus describes support for English learners and pupils with mild to moderate learning challenges. Grades 6–10 normally run 08:40–15:45, with a 09:30 start on Wednesdays. Some senior IB and AP classes have extended hours. Hot food is available to buy, or pupils can bring lunch.

Swiss-franc fees and excluded services

Fees are in Swiss francs, not euros. The application fee is CHF 500 plus card charges; the one-time infrastructure charge is CHF 5,000. Standard language and learning support is included, but speech or occupational therapy, lunch, transport and external AP/IB examinations cost extra. Bespoke learning programmes have a separate tuition schedule.

Bespoke support is a separate tuition package

The 2026/27 financial regulations confirm annual bespoke-learning-support packages of CHF 72,900 for Grades 6–8 or CHF 78,600 for Grades 9–12(13). These include tuition, so they must not be added to ordinary tuition as a supplement. Admission and service scope need an individual support decision. Ordinary EAL,learning support and compulsory curriculum trips are included in the standard tuition;OT/speechtherapy,extra tutoring and external examinations may cost more.

Application and payment terms

The non-refundable application is CHF 500 plus CHF 25 when paid by creditcard. A one-time non-refundable CHF 5,000 infrastructure contribution applies from Kindergarten 1 onward. Standard tuition is paid 60% on the first August class day and 40% on the first January class day; later enrolments follow their invoice. Exceptional private-payer instalment arrangements need written approval and normally cost CHF 300 per student per school year, waived for a granted tuition reduction. This is not a general monthly payment option.
