Discuss individual needs before accepting

BISS provides English as an Additional Language support for pupils who arrive with little or no English, for as long as needed. IGCSE and IB Diploma applicants must already have English proficiency. The Individual Needs team supports mild learning difficulties in class and in small groups; the school does not have facilities for intensive or extended specialist programmes. Supply relevant assessment reports during admissions so the school can check whether it can meet your child’s needs. Recommended language support outside school is the parents’ responsibility.

Two sites in the Stockholm area

Nursery through Year 6 attend Altorp Campus at Östra Valhallavägen 17, Djursholm. Years 7 through 13 attend Ekeby Campus at Rinkebyvägen 4, Danderyd. BISS does not provide a school bus service; families can use public transport, cycle or arrange private travel. Confirm the journey to the campus for your child’s year group before choosing accommodation.

Refund limits and sibling discounts

The 2026/27 terms say payments securing the next term are final: delayed entry, absence or withdrawal do not bring a refund, reduction or transfer of paid fees. The third sibling receives a 5% tuition discount and the fourth or later sibling 10%, applied to younger children while at least three siblings attend together. These rules matter when planning a short stay. Obtain the applicable invoice and terms before paying.

Confirm the subsidy category before paying

The 2026/27 terms treat Foundation and Year 1 pupils born after 31 August separately because their charges include a government-subsidy shortfall. For other pupils, a Swedish personal number and municipal registration allow the school to seek funding, but they do not guarantee approval. Families are liable for a funding shortfall, including one caused by an unreported change of address. The finance office should confirm the individual category before a family uses the published tariff as its full tuition budget.

How selected annual tariffs changed

For the same year group in the municipal-registration category, the published annual tariff for Years 2–4 moves from SEK 127,050 in 2025/26 to SEK 132,000 in 2026/27, an increase of 3.9%. Year 10 moves from SEK 160,650 to SEK 172,000, up 7.1%; Years 12–13 move from SEK 178,500 to SEK 180,000, up 0.8%. These comparisons use the published annual standard rates before sibling discounts and separate charges; they do not describe a child moving into a higher year group.

Subsidy and enrolment change the total

Use the explicit 2026/27 table rather than the different range in the page introduction. Published tuition depends on municipal funding eligibility. The application fee is SEK 3,000 per child, capped at SEK 9,000 per family. Enrolment is SEK 60,000 for each of the first two children and SEK 50,000 for the third and later children. Application and budget details

The 2026/27 payment terms divide tuition into two equal halves for autumn and spring. Existing-family invoices are issued in February and September with 30-day payment terms. New entrants receive dates based on their start. Pupils joining after the October or Easter break pay half the relevant term fee. After-school care, some activities and residential trips can be separate. Confirm the full fee where subsidy eligibility is unresolved.
